Out for a run.

We were out for a run (more of a walk - the heat deterred the running part) and we stopped to pick some blackberries and feed them to Zoya and Isis as they sat in the stroller, then Zoya announced she needed to go "pooh and pee". She always says "pooh and pee" regardless of whether or not she is going to do one or the other or both. Way to keep us on our toes small child! So we are in a residential neighborhood with out a public restroom in site - the nearest probably a mile or so away. Anyone who has toddlers knows that when they say they need to go, they need to go right that instant. So we took her out of the stroller, lead her over near the bushes, stripped her down - had to get her completely naked too as she was wearing a jumper with no snaps at the crotch, and instructed her how to squat down. She followed all instructions perfectly without questions. She is squatting there for a few seconds and says, "I can't". So we redressed her, put her back in the stroller and crossed our fingers that she could hold it till we arrived home. As we are walking home - still not running, too hot, Zoya says, "Momma, where do dogs pee and pooh?" So I start listing all the places that dogs pee and pooh. To which Zoya responded, "I'm not a dog, I'm a little girl."
